we have grandkids 8 years old,7mo's,11/2 mo's old . Are friends tell us that when you carry your grandkid to Disney @ a early age that they do remember anything so what is the BEST AGE to carry grandkids / kids to the parks

    Hi Velma!

How wonderful that you are planning a trip to Walt Disney World with your grandkids!

I've been bringing my kids to Walt Disney World since they were toddlers, so I can understand your concern about them remembering the experience.

Here's how I view it: Even though an 11 month-old will probably not remember visiting Walt Disney World, you will. You will be forming memories that last a lifetime for yourself and the entire family. I show my daughter pictures of our trips to Walt Disney World all of the time, so she "remembers" our trip when she was only 2-years old. I don't know if she actually remembers the trip or if she just has seen the pictures and heard the stories so many times that she feels as if she remembers. Either way, I wouldn't trade that experience for the world. I saw her splashing in the water fountains at Epcot, riding it's a small world for the first time and eating with the princesses when she was only two, and it was wonderful to see her experience Disney at every stage.

In regards to the best age for Walt Disney World, I think that it really depends on the child. Kids of all ages can experience joy at Walt Disney World. You know your grandchildren best, so you know that if you have a child that is more sensitive or thrives on structure or doesn't do well when not in his/her routine, that it may not be best to have them go on an extended vacation in which you can't control their environment as well. However, if your grandchildren are fairly adaptable, they may be fine to visit at any age.

I have tips for visiting Walt Disney World with little ones, so please let me know if you have any other questions about planning your trip.

    Magically,
    Stacy
