Greetings Fellow Floridian Steve!
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It sounds like you are about to "
Granddad of the yEAR" when you purchase Walt Disney World tickets for your grandkids!
One of the best advantages of living close to The Mouse is the
fantastic discounts to be had on
Disney Theme Park tickets. I love that you want to take advantage of that! You can purchase tickets in person or online, and then pick up at will call. To get
discounted resident tickets, only adults (age 18 and over) need to show proof of Florida residency. Thankfully, if the kiddos are under 18, you can purchase and activate the select tickets for them.
Steve, do you know that you don't need to show up to the Parks to activate their tickets? A
Ticket Center is now open at
Disney Springs, which makes logistical errands a lot simpler! When you activate the passes, you will need to show
proof of residency. That proof can come in a variety of forms, including:
-State or military-issued ID card with
Florida address.
-Bills, Policies or Registration in their name (i.e., automobile registration, insurance policy or statement from utilities, insurance, etc. note though that the bills can be no more than two months old).
-Mail from a certified institution such as a bank, federal, or state agency with their name.
Current statements and bills that are printed from an electronic version or via smartphones are also acceptable.
I hope that was clear. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to come back. I wish you a
grand adventure with your family!
Rayna
