Hello Kathleen,
So glad you stopped by to see us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I love the idea of a magical first trip for your granddaughter. There are many things you can do to make it special...I'll give you a few ideas. Reservations are recommended in advance for all suggestions.
Bring out your party dresses and your best British accents! Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa offers a beautiful
Afternoon Tea at Garden View Tea Room and it's truly wonderful. The menu offers many different kinds of tea (and some chocolate milk if your princess isn't a tea lover), plus finger sandwiches and some delicious dessert pastries.
How about a dessert party? There are several to choose from; in the Magic Kingdom, there's the
Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing. You get special reserved seating for the fireworks, plus some delectable treats. Do you have an Elsa fan? The
Frozen Ever After Dessert Party at Epcot World Showcase includes not only dessert, but a ride on Frozen Ever After.
Lastly, I would be remiss if I didn't include the
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. Ordinary girls are transformed into Princesses for a day by Fairy Godmothers-In-Training. With locations in both the Magic Kingdom and Disney Springs, this special place will give your granddaughter an experience she will never forget.
Kathleen, I hope your granddaughter's first visit is full of wonderful memories!
Best Wishes,
Amy S.
