Hi Pam!
Welcome to planDisney!
I’m happy to report that you’re more than welcome to take a
ride on the Skyliner, whether you’re a resort guest or not! My boys look at it as an attraction in itself, so we make time for it often.
The Skyliner route connects
Hollywood Studios to
Epcot; however, the route does pass by some resorts along the way. There’s no direct Skyliner route between the two. After boarding the Skyliner near Hollywood Studios, you’ll take it to Caribbean Beach. From there, you’ll need to exit your gondola and choose where you want to head next. You’ll have three options.
You can choose to go straight back to Hollywood Studios if you just want a quick ride. You can take it to Pop Century and Art of Animation resorts. Or you can continue on to Epcot with a quick stop at Riviera resort, but you will not need to exit your gondola at Riviera if you don’t want to.
If you’re riding midday when there are fewer crowds, the total trip from Hollywood Studios to Epcot on the Skyliner takes about 25 minutes (according to timestamps on my phone from our last trip!).
If you’re planning to turn around and come right back to Hollywood Studios on the Skyliner after making it to the Epcot area, I highly recommend checking out the
resorts near Epcot before you do. You’ll be there at the perfect time to see all the holiday decorations! It could make for a fun little getaway from the crowds at the park.
I hope that helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to come back and visit us!
