My granddaughter (5) wants to take a cooking class with me. We will be on a Disney cruise soon. Is there a possibility for a grandma/granddaughter cooking class? I see classes for kids, and classes for adults but is there anything for kids AND adults?

Welcome aboard, Valdis! Your cruise with your granddaughter is sure to offer so many activities and events that you can both participate in together. Each day you'll receive a Personal Navigator. This is the schedule of events and activities for each day. On it, you'll see adult activities, kids' activities and family activities.

There is a series of cooking demonstration classes for adults called The Art of Entertaining. Throughout the sailing, you'll probably have three Art of Entertaining demonstrations: appetizer, entree and dessert. I highly recommend these, as you get inside secrets from the chef creating these delicious meals and you'll get to sample the creations as well!

The Oceaneer Lab will have Ratatouille Cooking School. During this activity, kids learn how to bake chocolate chip cookies, including measuring and mixing all the ingredients, and of course sampling their final product! Most cruises offer this a few times throughout the sailing. One of those times is usually during Open House Hours, which means that parents (and grandparents) stay in the club with their children to participate in the activities together. So, keep an eye on your Personal Navigator for the Ratatouille Cooking School during Open House hours and you can both attend together, Valdis! You can also check with the counselors in the Lab early on during your sailing to verify if they'll be having this event during Open House one day, just to be sure. I hope they do, as you'd both really enjoy it!

Let me know if I can help with anything else while you continue to plan, Valdis!
