My granddaughter will be visiting in February to celebrate her 16th birthday. Is there anything I could send her for her birthday through Disney?

Welcome to planDisney, Ang, and thanks for this great question. You are a thoughtful grandparent to be planning for a Sweet 16 gift, so let's look at some options you'll have when your granddaughter visits Disneyland Resort next year.

If your princess is staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel, I first suggest contacting the Fairy Godparents at In-Room Celebrations. Call them to see the current offerings, but they typically can deliver flower arrangements, balloon bouquets, and even snack baskets to Disneyland Resort Hotels.

For stays at other properties, your best bet would be to contact the hotel directly for their recommendations. Local florists would probably deliver to the front desk for pickup, another fabulous option.

Since you still have some time before the special birthday celebration, you could find something on shopDisney to have delivered to her before she leaves on her birthday trip. A celebratory ear headband would be easy to pack and very festive for her days in the Theme Parks, or a backpack featuring a favorite Disney character could be fun and practical for her visit. And the best part is that she'll think of you when she uses your gift.

My final tip is to purchase a Disney Gift Card. You can send funds electronically to her email or on a physical card to her address. She can shop online before her visit or take the card with her to use anywhere on Disneyland property. Gift cards can be used for merchandise, food, and experiences, and you can choose the amount.

Ang, I hope I've given you some ideas for helping make your granddaughter's birthday her most magical one yet. Please stop by planDisney anytime; I'll save some birthday cake for you!

    Magic awaits,
