My granddaughter and I share a birthday in March. We do not sailing till May but this is her birthday present is it too late to tell them we are celebrating our birthday?

Welcome aboard, Jan! What a wonderful birthday gift that you and your granddaughter will be sharing this year by setting sail with Captain Mickey and his crew for a Disney Cruise Line vacation! Cruising with Disney is the perfect way to celebrate a special occasion!

No matter when your birthday is, you're always welcome to celebrate it at sea. Add a note to your reservation that says you'll be celebrating both of your birthdays onboard. This way, your fabulous dining service team will ask you which night you'd like to officially celebrate at dinner. You'll be presented with a special dessert and a song! I've celebrated a couple of my birthdays onboard one of Disney's pixie-dusted ships, and it's always been very special!

You can also stop by Guest Services to pick up birthday buttons. Wear these during your cruise, and the Cast Members onboard, as well as your favorite Disney characters and even other guests, will go out of their way to make you feel special as you celebrate! Be sure to check out the Gifts and Amenities page of Disney Cruise Line's website where you can even pre-order special extras like gift baskets or celebratory stateroom decorations. When I sailed over my birthday this past year, my friends back home surprised me by pre-ordering stateroom decorations. When we opened the door that first day to our onboard home away from home for the week, we were greeted with floor to ceiling birthday decor! What a wonderful way to begin the cruise!

Have fun planning this magical adventure!
