    Its my granddaughter bday Nov 6 taking her on the magic Nov 16 to the Bahamas looking forward to it, its both our first time. Can you tell me if you can get off to go see the dolphins is it close by on an excursion?

    What a special vacation you have planned for you and your granddaughter on the spectacular Disney Magic! In Nassau, you have four dolphin adventures to choose from offered by Disney Cruise Line. Two are at the Atlantis Resort about 25 minutes away and two at Blue Lagoon Island about 40 minutes away. All four excursions include transportation to and from the ship, so you will not have to worry about providing your own. At Atlantis, you can select either the Atlantis Dolphin Cay Shallow Water Interaction and Discover Atlantis (all ages) or the Atlantis Dolphin Cay Deep Water Interaction and Discover Atlantis (ages 6 and up). The main difference between the two is the deep-water interaction involves snorkeling, swimming and being pushed by a dolphin on a boogie board. The shallow water is more of a meet and greet with the dolphins in waist-deep water. If you decide to go to Blue Lagoon, the Blue Lagoon Dolphin Encounter (ages 3 and up) involves hugging, playing and kissing the dolphins in shallow water. The Blue Lagoon Island Dolphin Swim is similar to the deep-water interaction at Atlantis where the dolphin will push you through the water. My advice is to read over each Port Adventure and decide which one is the best fit for you and your granddaughter.
