    My grandchildren are going to Disney World in 2018. If I give each of them Disney Gift Cards , can the gift cards be linked to their Magic Bands so they can use for meals and shopping?

    Hi Karen,

    What a great idea as a gift for your grandchildren! My mother-in-law loved giving my girls Disney Dollars or gift cards for our vacations at the Walt Disney World Resort.

    Currently, you cannot add gift cards to MagicBands to be used for items at Walt Disney World. When we have a gift card, we charge items back to our room on our MagicBands. Then we pay the balance prior to checkout or reaching the resort charge limit (whatever comes first) using the gift card. This reduces our credit card charge and we do not need to carry the gift card with us.
