Ahoy, Jill!
It sounds like you have a very special vacation planned for your family next month, and a Disney Cruise is the perfect choice for multi generations. When I've cruised with three generations, I've found that dinner is my favorite time of the day because it gives everyone an opportunity to share about the highlights of their day. After dinner we all attend the show together because they are designed with the whole family in mind. There will be a lot to choose from during the day, so I suggest keeping your daily cruise newsletter handy so everyone knows the options available. There is plenty of
onboard fun to enjoy like the AquaDuck, first-run movies, family game shows, Bingo and Goofy Golf.
As you pack, I suggest checking the cruise
Packing List. I always throw in some warm clothes because it is sometimes cool on deck and in the theaters, lounges and restaurants any time of year. You may want to check the weather online in the Bahamas before you leave to have an idea of what to expect in Nassau and Castaway Cay.
When you completed your Online Check-In, you should have chosen a
Port Arrival Time. Disney Cruise Line follows Port Arrival Times so Guests don't all arrive at once. They are 30-minute windows starting around 10:30 a.m. and going until 3:30 p.m. You may want to check to see if you selected one when you completed this process. Boarding typically begins around 11:30 a.m. so if you have not selected a time, you may want to pick a time around noon or 1:00 p.m. This way you won't have long to wait when you arrive at the port and check-in.
I hope I've helped with your plans, Jill. Please write back if you have more questions.
