    WE are going to the Grand Floridian resort on Jan 2 will the gingerbread house still be up?

    I'm staying at the Grand Floridian right now, so I just went downstairs to ask them how long the gingerbread house would be up. The word straight from the elves working inside is that the gingerbread house will be coming down on January 3, 2009.

    We spent about an hour in the Floridian lobby this evening, looking at the ornaments, taking photos, and listening to the band -- so very festive for the holidays. I had seen the gingerbread house before, but saw for the first time tonight that "smoke" periodically comes out of the chimney. Stand right above this on the second floor and you'll smell the spices. Mmmm.
