Ahoy, Alisha!
Welcome aboard planDisney. A big congratulations to you on your graduation! I cannot think of a better way to celebrate this accomplishment than on a high seas adventure with Captain Mickey. It sounds like you are sailing toward some very special memories with your father next year.
Castaway Cay may be my favorite place on the planet. Where else can you enjoy the magic of Disney while you listen to waves crash with your toes in the sand? And just like on the ship, Disney Cruise Line is very focused on safety and accessibility. The island is accessible for all Guests, including those who may need mobility assistance like a wheelchair or scooter.
The walkways throughout the island are paved and are wide enough to accommodate all traffic. There is also a tram that connects key points on the island that is wheelchair and scooter accessible. If you want to enjoy the sand, there are also multiple locations along the main path with complementary sand wheelchairs to experience the beach if this would make navigating the island easier for your father. There are also a couple of
Port Adventures on Castaway Cay that are
accessible but may require a transfer.
For any information on accessibility or needs while onboard as you travel to Disney's private island, you can also
contact the Special Services team who specialize in ensuring a magical getaway for you and your father as you sail.
Cruise back to planDisney if you have any additional questions as your vacation countdown shrinks, Alisha!
"Sea" ya real soon! Angie
