Bonjour, Melody.
Welcome to planDisney! Can you believe you will be at
The Most Magical Place on Earth during
The World's Most Magical Celebration in mere months? I can't wait for you to experience the festivities for yourself!
Disney's Contemporary Resort is an excellent choice of accommodation for your vacation. I remember being fascinated as a child that the
Resort Monorail zoomed through the main atrium, and I still feel that way today. I love the chic, modern feel of the Resort and am a huge fan of the Mary Blair touches of decor throughout. You will love
everything your Disney Resorts Collection hotel has to offer!
I'm so excited that you will have a Theme Park View from your room. Can you imagine looking out your window and seeing
Cinderella Castle or
Space Mountain in the distance? You might even be able to catch a view of the fireworks in
Disney Enchantment if you time it just right. Is there anything more magical than that? I don't think so!
Did you know many of the rooms on property just
received an "incredible" upgrade? You can view photos of the various room categories at Disney's Contemporary Resort by clicking "view photos" under the room type on the
Resort's Room Rates webpage. This should bring up a collection of photos that you can scroll through to see what the room and bathroom will look like in that room category. If you wish to see other room categories, click the drop-down boxes under the photo and change them to see what those rooms and bathrooms have to offer. When looking at non-accessible Theme Park View rooms, the photos of the bathroom do not show metal bars in the bathtub. However, the metal bars do appear in the bathrooms and bathtubs of the accessible rooms with the tub option.
I spoke to Guest Services today to verify that this information is correct and, unfortunately, the metal bars only come in the bathrooms in the accessible rooms on property. Since I know this isn't what you were hoping to hear, I suggest you call 407-939-1936 and speak with a friendly Cast Member about your needs. Guest safety is a top priority at Walt Disney World Resort, so they should be able to help modify your reservation to an accessible room, subject to availability, if you so desire.
Melody, please stop back by planDisney if you have further questions while planning your magical adventure. We'd be happy to help!
Tomorrow is just a dream away,
Alyssa
