U and the Moms R GR8! 2nd trip 4 Me, DH and 3 DDs (12,10,8). Staying at Poly 4 7 nights in July, on reg DP. Planning ADRs using 12 TS credits. Help. Should I upgrade to DDP or pay out of pocket for extra meals. Not sure what to do, can you help? Tks

    Margaret,

Your initial idea of paying out-of-pocket for your remaining meals is a good one, and probably what you will find is the most economical. Make sure you compare restaurant costs to figure out where to use the Plan to get the most bang for your buck.

The second option of moving up to the Deluxe plan may also makes sense. If you do that, however, you will need to figure out what to do with the extra 9 as-yet-unused credits. What could you do?

    • Make reservations for signature dining experiences that require two credits
    • Schedule more table service meals for your other dining needs
    • Use table service credits to eat at counter service restaurants
The only way to be 100% sure is to map out what you would spend for the meals that you are going to have to pay with out-of-pocket funds under your current plan, and compare it to the added cost of the Deluxe Dining Plan. My guess is that you will choose to stick to the standard plan, paying out-of-pocket for the other dining, but only you can be sure.

Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
