I have gotten conflicting info about this ?. When The fairy godmother lights up the castle during x-mas season with icicle lights is that part of general admission or part of the mickeys very merry christmas party.

    Summer,

I can imagine why the information you have read is confusing, since the answer is that it is/was part of both!

Hmmm?  How is that possible?  Let me try to explain...

The Castle Lighting ceremony was at 5:45 pm nightly (times and/or the event could change in 2008 - right?), which is before the 7:00 pm start of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP). However, you are allowed to enter the Magic Kingdom after 4 pm if you have a ticket for that evening's MVMCP.  So the castle lighting ceremony occurs during the 4 pm - 7 pm window when you can have a mix of guests (general admission guests AND MVMCP guests) in the park.

Hope that helps clear up the confusion.
