When is a good time to plan a February trip for 2011?We are unsure of whether to book for beginning of the month or the end. In a couple of months it will be 180 days for ADRs for Feb, so what is the best way to decide and get ADRs we want?

February is one of those months where you'll find both lighter than normal crowds and heavier than normal crowds, depending on when in the month you go.  Some of the February traffic depends on spring break schedules, as there are some schools that have spring break during the month of February (mostly colleges), and you will also have to deal with President's Day weekend.

I think the earlier in the month you go, the better off you are in terms of avoiding some of the bigger crowds.  If you can avoid President's weekend entirely, that will definitely help, because many schools give students a four day weekend, making it a really good time for parents who don't want their children to miss school to go and enjoy Walt Disney World.  President's Day in 2011 is Monday, February 21st.

Another thing to think about is Valentine's Day, which in 2011 falls on a Monday.  That might make Valentine's weekend an attractive weekend for honeymooners, anniversary celebration trips, or just a reason to go to Disney World.

If you can plan on the first two weeks of the month, I think you'll be safe from the larger crowds.

    Have a great vacation!
