Now how exactly do I know that? Well, when I last spoke to Tiana at
1900 Park Fare, she was mighty disappointed that I don't consider myself a cook. But with her everlasting positive attitude, she was convinced that I had a chef in there somewhere. So, I'm pretty sure she'd be impressed and excited by your cooking skills and by the fact that you're putting food at the forefront of your planning! It sounds like you've already got the ingredients for one delicious vacation. So let's get an answer to your important question.
I just confirmed with a friendly Cast Member that the information my good friend
Lauren shared with
a Guest with a similar question a few years ago still stands. Currently, Guests at the
Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort may bring their own grill as long as it is indeed a charcoal grill, has a lid that encloses the flame while in use, is used outside the Cabins, and is supervised at all times. Of course, Guest safety is at the heart of everything Disney does, so I always recommend following the guidance of the Cast Members at the resort when it comes to using your grill and keeping an eye on the
property rules in case something changes. As Tiana would say,
you’re almost there!
Make sure that when you're in Disney World, you take a break every now and then from your own cooking to enjoy a meal prepared by Disney. This is especially true when you take into account that the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival is taking place from August 27 to November 21, 2026. What I love about an
EPCOT festival is that you can just sample your way through the park with cuisines from all around the world. It's like a progressive lunch or dinner with some pit stops for incredible attractions and entertainment along the way! Keep yourself open, because you never know what delicious hidden treasures and spices you might discover.
