Good morning Disney fan here. Just reading up on the reopenning, etc. Would like some clarification ,not a fan of using phone at the parks. Are there other options? Can I still use magic bands? Or card as in the past? 😊 thank you

    Mayra,

    Thanks for your question!

While Disney is working hard to make all of the great convenience features that you get with a MagicBand available for use on your smartphone, they are not doing away with the MagicBand. So yes, you will be able to use your MagicBands, as in the past! Disney is just doing their best to make access to the different aspects of your Walt Disney World vacation available where you want it, be it via either your MagicBand or your smartphone with the My Disney Experience app. These conveniences extend to such activities as the ability to charge purchases, paying for meals with a Disney Dining Plan, opening your resort room, entering the parks, and so much more.

Starting in 2021, Disney will not be offering complimentary MagicBands to resort guests, though they will still be offering those guests the option to purchase select bands at a discount. Disney has even have indicated that they will be rolling out all sorts of new ones with more Disney characters in the future, largely via the shopDisney MagicBand store

So you get to leave your phone back in your room if you wish. The only real decision here is, what color band should you pick for your next trip?

    Have a Magical Vacation!
