Good Morning! We took our 1st family trip this past January13' & are starting to plan a trip back for next Janaury14'. Our trip was a Sun-Sun which worked out great, but were wondering if there might be a better day midweek to arrive for our next trip

    Shauna,

While really it does not matter what day you arrive, we have settled into coming from Wednesday through Tuesday. At home it helps, because we don't have any one given week at work or school that is completely disrupted.

As to how it impacts the vacation, there are two major considerations.

Travel Costs: The first consideration is about how it can save you money on travel. It is typically less expensive to fly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The savings can be notable. My assumption is that this can translate to other forms of travel as well, though I don't have as much experience there.

Flow of the Vacation: The second consideration is the flow of your trip. Since weekends are typically busier at Walt Disney World, regardless of the time of the year, it is nice to have it sandwiched in the middle of the trip. We like to have a no-park pool day in the middle of our trip. It is a great way to break things up, and can help us recharge our batteries after several park days, so that we have energy for the 2nd half of the trip. To do that pool day on a Saturday is great, since you are going to typically be missing the parks on their most busy day of your trip.

I have a ton of other reasons why I like to do it this way, though of course it is all about personal preference. If you want to discuss it further, please write me back!

    Have a magical vacation!
