Hi Doreen,
Welcome to planDisney! I'm happy to help you navigate your question; thanks for sailing by!
Disney Cruise Line strives to create an atmosphere that is
welcoming and accessible to all Guests and there are many
resources and services available to you as you plan your cruise. To begin the process, complete and submit the
Special Services Form. Once you have submitted the form, I encourage you to
contact Disney Cruise Line Special Services with questions or concerns before arrival. You can call or email, but I have found that a phone call is the most efficient way for a Cast Member to help set your mind at ease as you plan.
Doreen, you may want to download this booklet,
Information for Guests with Disabilities or Medical Conditions, filled with helpful information. If you need assistance at any time on your cruise, don't hesitate to speak with someone at Guest Services and they will do their best to help. In my experience and that of friends traveling with children with disabilities, Disney Cruise Line strives to make every child welcome, safe and comfortable and the Cast and Crew Members do so with ease.
If your family enjoys
Character Greetings, be sure to check the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app when you board. In the app, select "Explore" on the menu at the bottom and then "Characters" at the top of the next menu. You will see all the Character meet-and-greets scheduled for your cruise. Tap the heart symbol next to ones you don't want to miss and the app will send you a reminder about 15 minutes before the greeting takes place. Sometimes navigating the ships can take a little longer than you think, so I suggest that you head to the location in plenty of time to capture a magical photo of your crew.
I hope this information gets you on to your next phase of planning, Doreen. Please stop by and see us again if you have other questions; we are here to help.
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
