Ahoy, Karen!
It is wonderful to hEAR from you again with another great question about your cruise on the Disney Dream! When I plan our cruises, I'm always thinking about how to stay within in my budget, so there are no surprises when we get onboard. Any cruise activities you book online prior to your departure will be charged to your stateroom folio, which means you won't see them on your credit card until after your cruise. This includes port adventures (your bicycle rentals), adult dining experiences, spa treatments and services, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique appointments, the Royal Court Royal Tea and the sports simulators. Your gratuities will be charged once you are aboard unless you call Disney Cruise Line ahead of time to have them charged to your card prior to your departure.
Once you are onboard, there will be two ways to check your folio balance on the
Disney Dream. You can stop by
Guest Services at any time and ask your balance and have them print out an itemized list of charges. The other way is on your stateroom TV by looking under "Guest Services" then "View Folio."
My favorite budget tip is to pick up Disney Gift Cards when I shop each week. By the time my cruise rolls around, I have a stash to help with our onboard expenses. The
Disney Gift Card website lets you combine cards up to $1,000.00 per card, so it's easy to take one card onboard. You can use the gift cards directly in the gift shops or have Guest Services apply them to your account at any time. Just make sure to hold on to it in case you don't end up spending it all, which has never happened to me!
Thank you again for stopping by, Karen! Have a magical day!
Nancy
