Hello, Kenisha! I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney with your question!
There are only a few occasions when you need to show ID at the Walt Disney World theme parks. Most likely, you ordered your theme park tickets online and have
linked them to your
My Disney Experience account, so you can scan through the turnstiles without stopping. Occasionally, guests opt to pick up their tickets at Will Call; in this case, you will need to show your ID, the confirmation number for the tickets, and the credit card used for the transaction (each theme park has a Will Call before you enter the gates). Minors will never need to show ID; Mouseketeers under age three are considered guests of Mickey, so there is no need to purchase admission for them either.
If you wish to
purchase an alcoholic beverage at the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, you may be asked to show identification. Guests visiting from outside of the United States will need to present a valid passport and another form of government-issued photo ID from their country of origin. The same is true upon
check-in if you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel.
And don't forget, Kenisha, that you'll need to check the
Theme Park Availability Calendar and make your
Disney Park Pass reservations before your arrival.
Please write back if there's anything else you need help with before your trip. See ya real soon!
