    Nancy from ON Asked

Good morning. My name is Nancy from Canada. I am really looking forward to returning to my favorite place. Just wondering if more availability will be made for December 2022 once more resorts open? Thank you

Greetings, Nancy from Canada! Welcome to planDisney! I

Over the past 18 months, I have sympathized with our neighbors to the North about not being able to travel into the US. I can imagine you are needing some Disney magic pretty badly!

When I was just on the Walt Disney World vacation planning site, I can see LOTS of resorts that have availability for December, 2022. I believe all resorts are currently taking reservations for dates up to 12/31/22. You can research your dates and hotel, hold a room & ticket package with just a $200 deposit right now! This deposit can lock in your rate, and you can begin planning your enchanted vacation! This package is completely changeable or refundable up until your final payment date, which will be 30 days prior to your arrival date.

Since you haven’t been able to travel to Walt Disney World in quite a while, I’ll tell you a couple of my favorites for you to check out! First off, if you haven’t been to Disney’s Riviera Resort (to walk around, stay, or have a bite to eat), DO IT! The newest resort on the Walt Disney World property is lovely! We had dinner at Topolino’s Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera and then took a stroll around the grounds. It even has a Skyliner stop! So, there is no excuse to not stop and take a peek.

If you haven’t been to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, it is a MUST DO! The immersive land is like no other place in WDW, I truly felt like I had entered a new planet. If you can get a reservation to Oga’s Cantina, it is totally worth it to just see the inside! My husband recommends the Fuzzy Tauntaun, where I am more of a Carbon Freeze kind of gal. If you remember Star Tours from WAY back when, you’ll recognize the DJ playing the music in the corner.

I hope this gives you a little pixie dust to get you through until your trip back to your favorite place. Please come back with more questions you might have as you plan your marvelous visit to Walt Disney World.

    Happy Planning,
    Tracy

Walt Disney World was my very first vacation, when I was just 3 months old, and I recently completed my 73rd trip to a Disney location! I have been fortune enough to parasail high above the Disney Fantasy, attend opening day of Batuu, snorkel in the lagoon at Disney's Aulani, and SO MUCH MORE! I can't wait to help you plan your Disney vacation!
