Hi Mark! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
WOW! Only a few more days and you'll be well on your way to an extra magical vacation at
Walt Disney World Resort! You're in for so many incredible thrills, undeniably tasty treats, and hopefully some spooktacular moments if you head to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! Even if trick-or-treating down Main Street U.S.A. isn't in your plans for this trip you'll still get to enjoy all the festive fall decorations around Magic Kingdom.
If you're planning to visit one of Disney's
Water Parks while you're in town, you'll be happy to know that the water IS in fact heated! The Cast Member I spoke to today informed me that both Resort pools (which stay open year-round) and the Water Parks have water that is heated to approximately 80 degrees. This means that even if the weather is a little chilly you'll be able to comfortably dive right in!
Right now,
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is open for your enjoyment. Whether you're hoping to ride the waves in the Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool, take a chance on the almost-vertical 5-story-drop on
Humunga Kowabunga or spend time exploring
Ketchakiddee Creek you don't have to worry about shivering while you splash! You may even find lower crowds on cooler days and that's nothing to complain about!
While you're visiting Typhoon Lagoon take a few minutes to relax and recharge with some goodies from Leaning Palms or
Happy Landings Ice Cream. Personally, I can't finish off a day Typhoon Lagoon without a "Sand Pail" full of chocolate and vanilla soft-serve ice cream, waffle cone pieces, Oreo cookie pieces, sprinkles, hot fudge, caramel sauce, cream and a cherry on top!
Surf's up!
