    Good morning everyone. Sailing on the fantasy 12/8/12 to wc, can you tell me which island is the best for shopping, dont want to plan excursions on an island that known for it's shopping. Have to make time for my wife. Thank you in advance,

    Hi Wayne and thanks for writing back!
    I have sailed to the Western Caribbean several times and always plan on a little shopping while on the islands! Shopping can be found on all three islands so I'll give you a sneak peek of what you will find to help with your decision. In Cozumel, you will find shops within walking distance of the pier and the selection is usually handmade Mexican crafts, silver jewelry, and typical island souvenirs. If you do decide to shop in Cozumel, you may have some luck with price negotiation.  Grand Cayman also has shops within walking distance of where the tender will drop you off.  On this island, you will find a higher end selection (purses, perfume, clothing, jewelry) and prices are usually set and not negotiable.  Costa Maya does have some shopping close by the pier, and you will find items similar to what you find in Cozumel.
