Hiya, Tom!
Welcome to planDisney. Your magical vacation is less than 30 days away. I bet you're counting down the days in anticipation. You're definitely coming to Walt Disney World Resort at the perfect time. Not only will you have the opportunity to partake in the
50th Anniversary Celebration fun, but you'll also be here during the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. I'm guessing focusing on
EPCOT during your trip is specifically to experience all of the amazing aspects of this Festival. It's my personal favorite of EPCOT's four Festivals, so I know you're in for a real treat!
The
Disney Resorts Collection boasts more than 20 top-notch, uniquely-themed Resort hotels to suit every budget and preference. They are broken into three categories - Value, Moderate and Deluxe Resorts. The
Value Resorts are the most budget-friendly, while the
Deluxe Resorts are for those who enjoy a little more luxury on their vacations. The
Moderate Resorts fall somewhere in between. Which type of Resort hotel you choose truly depends on your vacationing style, but luckily there's a Resort in every category that would be perfect for your EPCOT focused adventure.
You'll want to make sure that whatever you choose as your home away from home allows you to get to EPCOT quickly, so you can maximize your time there. If you need to be budget-conscious, I recommend looking into
Disney's Pop Century Resort. With a
Disney Skyliner station located on-site, you can be at EPCOT in roughly 20 minutes. My husband and I often travel on adults-only getaways and usually choose to stay at Disney's Pop Century Resort for this exact reason.
A Moderate Resort hotel that also falls on the Disney Skyliner route and can have you at EPCOT in mere minutes is
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. The lush grounds, tropical theming and sandy beaches will make you feel as if you've been transported to your own island getaway. Plus, it has its own lake, Barefoot Bay, on-site.
If the luxury of a Deluxe Resort hotel better suits you, there are three of them directly adjacent to EPCOT -
Disney's Beach Club Resort,
Disney's Yacht Club Resort and
Disney's BoardWalk Inn.
They're so close that all it takes is a short walk to be at the International Gateway entrance to EPCOT. This also means that at the end of a long day traveling "around the world," you can be back relaxing at your Resort as fast as your feet can take you without having to wait in the Disney Skyliner line. If your heart is set on spending as much time as possible in EPCOT, I recommend staying at one of these three Resorts.
I hope this helps you decide where to stay for your upcoming vacation, Tom. Have a magical trip!
Alyssa
