Hi Brandy!
Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. My family usually stocks up on
Disney Gift Cards in the months prior to a trip and use them throughout our stay, it's a great budgeting tool!
Whether you purchase Disney Gift Cards in the park themselves, at a
local Disney Store or at any major chain retailer, like Walgreens or Target, you can certainly use them during your stay! As long as the location is
Disney owned and operated, they will accept Disney Gift Cards as a form of payment. This includes locations throughout Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park,
Downtown Disney District and the Disneyland Resort hotels. The rare exception you may find in the parks is a handful of the outdoor carts where you can purchase balloons or light up toys during evening festivities. For
Character Dining and
Quick Service locations, you shouldn't experience an issue.
If you haven't already, I would recommend registering your cards on the Disney Gift Cards site using your Disney account login. This way you can combine them as needed, redistribute funds, check your balance and refer back to charges! Please come back and let us know if we can help in any other way.
