Hello Anthony! Welcome to planDisney!
It is so exciting that you're beginning to make plans for a family vacation to
The Most Magical Place on Earth! You and your family are going to have the best time exploring the Parks like
Magic Kingdom and
Disney's Hollywood Studios, dining with some character friends at
Chef Mickey's or the
Garden Grill Restaurant, and maybe even splashing down
Humunga Kowabunga at
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park! With so many Theme Parks to visit, and so many attractions to try, you're definitely going to want to spend some time exploring all there is to see at Walt Disney World Resort!
Tony, just now I spoke with a local representative from a Massachusetts AAA office who told me that just like
Theme Park Tickets booked directly through the Walt Disney World Resort, tickets booked through AAA are nontransferable and nonrefundable. When you purchase directly through the Walt Disney World Resort, however, the value of your ticket will remain on your account, even if you have to cancel. This means that you'll be able to put the value of the original ticket toward a new ticket purchase if for some reason you couldn't make your original trip to the Parks.
No matter where you purchase your tickets from, make sure to take the time to make Park Pass Reservations shortly after. Now, Walt Disney World requires all Guests to have both a valid Theme Park ticket and a
Park Pass Reservation to enter the first Park they will visit each day.
I know you and your family are really going to enjoy visiting! If you want to stay right within the magic, I suggest booking a Guest room at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel for your stay. Not only do these Resorts have the best locations close to the Parks, but they also come with other
benefits like complimentary transportation around the Resort,
Early Theme Park Entry and
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours for Guests of Disney Deluxe hotels. Check them all out to see which theme and pricing option is the best fit for you and your family!
Happy planning!
