Good Evening, I will be checking into a Walt Disney resort on December 29th of this year. I would like to know how much it would cost to add a 5th night at the current resort my family and I booked?

Hi Daniel, and thanks for bringing your question to planDisney! The holiday season is my favorite time of year at Disney, when the theme parks and resort hotels are covered in sparkling decorations. So let’s talk about extending your stay in the magic!

If you booked your resort hotel directly through Disney, you can check the price for adding a fifth night on the Disney World website. Go to My Plans and click the Change Reservation button next to your booking. To the right of your travel dates, click the Change link, modify your Check Out date, and click the Update button. If the fifth night is available, you’ll be able to select a room and click the Next button to start the checkout process (don’t worry, nothing is finalized yet!). On the next page, you’ll be able to see the new total with the fifth night and decide if you’d like to proceed.

Alternatively, you can call the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations and Tickets phone number and a Cast Member would be happy to see if that fifth night is available and quote you the cost.

Anytime my family is at Disney World for the holidays, we always do a resort crawl to check out all of the incredible gingerbread creations and themed Christmas trees. Some of our favorites are the gingerbread carousel at Beach Club Resort, the gingerbread animals at Animal Kingdom Lodge, and the majestic Christmas tree at Wilderness Lodge—the roaring fireplace in the background makes it feel extra cozy and festive! Some of the resort hotels even have a kiosk in the lobby selling holiday treats, so grab a hot cocoa and get ready to explore!

Another fun activity is the Christmas Tree Stroll over at Disney Springs. While you’re shopping or heading to a dinner reservation, there are lots of themed Christmas trees to discover!

Be sure to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog in the coming months for more details on holiday happenings at Disney World. In the meantime, you can look at last year’s Disney World Resort Holidays Foodie Guide to start getting excited.

I’m wishing you an amazing visit during this extra magical time at Disney World! If you have any other questions, we’d love to have you back at planDisney.
