Ahoy there, Sharon!
Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney! You must be looking forward to a Disney vacation by land and sea!
Unfortunately, Disney Cruise Line and Disneyland Resort do not offer ground transfers between the resort and the
Port of San Diego, but I have another option that sounds like great fun. The
Amtrak Pacific Surfliner runs between San Diego and Anaheim (where Disneyland Resort is located). This comfortable and scenic ride offers a great mode of transportation between your destinations. The Anaheim station is about 4 miles from Disneyland Resort and the Downtown San Diego station is only half a mile from the
Port of San Diego.
Other options include using a rideshare app service or a private car service. You can find information about rideshare options using either Lyft or Uber. The
Disneyland Resort website offers helpful information about traveling to and from the resort by car that I encourage you to check out.
When your
Online Check-In date opens, remember to request a Port Arrival Time that coincides with your anticipated arrival time at the cruise terminal. This will keep your wait time to a minimum when you arrive. While you are waiting to board the ship, be sure to open your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app so you can view your Rotational Dining schedule and explore all the activities and entertainment offered during your cruise. You can select the heart icon next to the activities you don't want to miss and the app will remind you 15 minutes before the event begins. It is a great way to make the most of your vacation.
I hope this information is helpful, Sharon! Please sail by any time with other questions.
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
