Good day, Looking for a full list of rides my pregnant wife can ride at the 4 Disney theme parks in Orlando Thanks in advance!

    Hiya Geoffrey,

Welcome to planDisney, and congratulations on your little Mouseketeer. It is a special kind of magic expecting a baby, and I’m sure you are excited to welcome a little one into the world! I have such fond memories from visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth while expecting and I hope I can help you and your wife have the same.

One thing that surprised me, Geoffrey, when I visited for my babymoon was how many attractions are pregnancy-friendly. My favorites include Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railroad at Hollywood Studios, Navi River Journey at Animal Kingdom, and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT. Walt Disney World Resort identifies attractions that are not recommended for mamas-to-be with an Expectant Mother Advisory. You can find a complete list of those attractions on the website. Anything without the advisory is considered safe. With that said, before your trip in a few weeks, I recommend that your wife chat with her doctor. Whether or not attractions have an advisory is based on a healthy average pregnancy. Since every pregnancy is different, work with your doctor to plan what is safest for your wife’s needs and medical history. For example, I found that I really struggled with motion sickness during my pregnancies, so even if an attraction didn’t have an Expectant Mother Advisory, I tended to limit or avoid riding them.

Geoffrey, one other tip: I needed frequent breaks during my visit, even in the colder months. Walking around and waiting in lines can significantly affect your wife’s stamina. Bring a refillable water bottle so she can stay hydrated and take advantage of Lightning Lanes to decrease the time waiting in line for attractions. I remember feeling like I could do more, but after a few hours of standing and moving, my back really started to hurt from the additional weight.

I hope this was helpful, and if you have any other questions, please come back and see me.

    Happy Planning,

    Ashley F.
