Greetings, Nadia, and welcome to planDisney! It looks like you have a visit to
Disneyland Resort soon, so let's talk about your mysterious cards. Like the Great Mouse Detective, I love solving mysteries!
My husband and I took a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) tour at
Walt Disney World Resort right before the pandemic, and we were given a
Disney Gift Card for attending. I recently spoke to a bloodhound of a Cast Member who said the gift cards issued for DVC presentations have no expiration date and can be used at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and Disneyland Resort in California.
The Cast Member said if that is indeed the type of cards you have, you could use them to purchase
Theme Park Tickets,
Disney Resort Hotel stays, dining, and merchandise. They can be used online or in person at the parks. So, if these are the cards you have, we've solved the mystery!
The only other option I can uncover is that years ago, DVC tour-goers sometimes received cards linked to the old FastPass system. These cards were pre-loaded with a few passes, allowing you to skip the standby queue at select attractions. However, the Cast Member said those would not be valid since the FastPass system no longer exists.
Nadia, I suggest you call
Guest Information to confirm exactly what you have and where it can be used. Please be sure to have those cards handy when you call so you can relay any numbers or details to the Cast Member. They will be better able to confirm our suspicions, but my sleuth sense tells me you'll be able to apply them toward the expense of your upcoming visit.
Nadia, I hope my magnifying glass and I have helped you get to the bottom of your mystery cards. Please
stop by planDisney anytime, and have a magical time on your upcoming Disney vacation. All the clues point to your best visit ever!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
