Good day! We are coming to Disney for my daughters first birthday in January. Will any of the parks acknowledge this special occassion? Please give us any information that would be great for us to have to help make this an even more special event! Thank u!

Hi Tina! Walt Disney World loves to help you celebrate special occasions! Stop by Guest Services or your resort's front desk and ask for a birthday button for your daughter to wear so everyone will know she's celebrating. You'll be amazed at the number of castmembers and guests who'll wish her Happy Birthday as you walk through the parks! Be sure to note on your resort and dining reservations that your daughter is celebrating her first birthday during this vacation. When restaurants know you're celebrating, you'll often be surprised with a special complimentary dessert or a card from the characters. At your resort, you might find a special surprise treat in your room. Character meals are especially fun when you're celebrating a birthday, and since your little one is under three she can dine at the character buffets for free!

Wishing your daughter a magical first birthday! Come visit us again here at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We're always happy to help!
