Hey Katie, I have three boys of my own ranging in age from six to ten and their favorite Character Dining Experiences are at Chef Mickey's, located in Disney's Contemporary Resort, and 'Ohana's Best Friends Breakfast, located at Disney's Polynesian Resort. Chef Mickey's is open for breakfast and dinner and is an all-you-care-to-eat buffet restaurant. You can expect to see Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, and Donald Duck at this popular restaurant. Every hour or so, the characters lead the guests in a celebration by having guests swing their napkins in the air to the song, "Celebrate." Chef Mickey's is a great place to go for a birthday celebration! Join Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch for 'Ohana's Best Friends Breakfast! You will feel like you're a part of their intergalactic 'ohana when you join them for an American breakfast influenced by tastes of the Polynesian islands. The fabulous food is served family-style and includes Mickey waffles, scrambled eggs, Island-style fried potatoes, Hawaiian pork sausages, smoked bacon, fresh fruit, and Hawaiian bread. We have dined at both locations many times and love them equally! Another fun restaurant for boys that is a non-character dining experience is T-REX Cafe in Downtown Disney. This Pre-historic themed restaurant has life-size animatronic dinosaurs throughout the restaurant. Guests will also be surprised by meteor showers during your dining experience. You can make advanced dining reservations for table-service restaurants by calling (407)WDW-DINE or by
going online here. Advanced Dining Reservations are highly recommended at all three of these dining locations and can be made starting 180 days prior to your arrival. Please let me know if I can offer any other dining suggestions for your Walt Disney World Vacation!
Bon Appétit,
Jodie
