What's a good age to take kids for their first visit to Disney? Is 2 really too young and would we just be making everyone miserable?

Bonnie, I used to think that it kids should be at least 4 or 5 to appreciate Walt Disney World, but now I have the complete opposite opinion.  I brought my daughter when she was two and a half, and although she remembers nothing about that trip, she still loves looking through the photo album at all of her experiences.

It was truly a magical experience to watch her reaction when she saw her first character, how it changed from shock and fright, to hugs and smiles. There are so many attractions that guests of all ages can enjoy. It is certainly a different holiday for us now that she is 8, but she tells people with great pride that she's been visiting Disney since she was two.

If I can give a bit of advice, it would be to enjoy what you can, and take rests when you need them. Don't try to rush to see everything (impossible in my view), and when the kids get tired, it's always a good idea to go back to the resort for a nap.

Thanks for the great question Bonnie!
