Good afternoon, Our family is looking to schedule a trip to Disney, but want to know when the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and the Mickey's Merry Christmas Party are to plan a a trip that encapsulates both, if possible?

Hello, Katrina, and welcome to planDisney!

I'm so glad you stopped by the Panel with this question. Visiting Walt Disney World Resort during the transition of Halloween to Christmas has been on my "Disney bucket list" for years. Like my hero, Jack Skellington, the magic and wonder of Halloweentime and Christmastime are always "buzzing in my skull."

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party are my favorite special events at Walt Disney World. There has not been an announcement yet regarding the dates for this year's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party or Very Merry Christmas Party. I always tell Guests to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog and Disney's official social media accounts for updates and announcements.

If we look back at past years, Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party usually runs mid-August through early November. Originally, last year's parties were scheduled to take place on select nights, August 13 through November 1. Then, typically, Cast Members immediately start "making Christmas" at the Parks and Resorts. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party has started as early as the first weekend in November and gone through December.

I've seen some unofficial blogs and fan sites release their guesstimates for this year's party dates, however, I always wait for an official announcement from the Disney Parks Blog. Once the information is available, disneyworld.com will be updated with party dates and ticket prices. If you wanted to tentatively plan your dates, the very end of October and start of November would be your best bet.

For resort/package bookings and tickets, you can call (407) 939-5277 to speak with a Cast Member. Please let me know if I can help you with any other questions as you continue planning your visit to Walt Disney World.

    Have a magical day!
