Good Afternoon, My family and I are visiting Disney World for the 1st time and are so excited. We are a military family and are buying our tickets through our local base. Where to do we need to go to reserve our tickets for each park? Thankyou so much!

Bibbidi-Boppidi-Boo, Melissa! A first-time visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth is a dream come true! I am so excited for you and your family to experience the magic of a Walt Disney World vacation. What makes visiting Walt Disney World even more magical are the incredible offers Disney gives our U.S. Military Members and their families. Consider it a heartfelt thank you for your and your family’s service to our country.

As a military spouse, my family has enjoyed special offers on theme park tickets, discounted Disney Resort hotel stays, special military pricing for cruises on Disney Cruise Line, and savings on hotel stays by booking at Shades of Green at Walt Disney World Resort. We always purchase Disney Military Salute Tickets from our local base ticket office, so I am happy to walk you through the steps of linking your theme park tickets, making theme park reservations, and what you must do upon arrival on your first day at the theme parks.

Once you have purchased your 2025 Disney Military Salute Tickets, link them to your MyDisney account under Plans and Tickets in My Disney Experience. Once you have your theme park tickets linked and assigned to the appropriate Guest, you can make your theme park reservations. This is also done under Plans and Tickets in My Disney Experience. You will want to download the My Disney Experience mobile app to view your plans, make dining reservations, view attraction wait times, book Lightning Lane passes, and view your PhotoPass Photos. U.S. Military Members can receive a specially priced Memory Maker, which allows you to download all your Disney PhotoPass photos and videos. You can purchase the specially priced Memory Maker at a theme park ticket window. Valid military identification is required.

Disney Military Salute Tickets must be activated before entering your first theme park.  To activate your tickets, take them to a theme park ticket window or the Disney Springs Welcome Center. The Eligible Servicemember and the other ticketholders must be present. My family always takes their tickets the day before our first park day to activate them, that way, on our first park day, we are ready to tap and go!

I hope you have an unforgettable time at Walt Disney World, making memories you and your family will cherish for a lifetime. Consider us your Fairy Godparents here at planDisney and stop back by any time we can answer your Disney vacation questions.
