Hi Chad,
Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Grabbing a bite to eat at
Disney's Wilderness Lodge while you're enjoying a day at Magic Kingdom Park sounds like a great idea, and it will be really easy to get there. You'll simply hop on board a
water taxi for a relaxing ride across the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake. When you exit Magic Kingdom Park, look for the Resort Launches signs. There will be one boat (the red flag launch) that runs directly between Magic Kingdom Park and Disney's Wilderness Lodge. Another boat (the blue flag launch) makes stops at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, and Disney's Wilderness Lodge. You'll be able to use either of those options to get to your lunch, although the red flag launch will likely be the quickest route.
I'd definitely encourage you to take a bit of time to explore Disney's Wilderness Lodge while you're there. Feel free to walk around both inside and out. It's absolutely breathtaking! The attention to detail, like at all Walt Disney World Resort locations, is truly incredible. You'll feel like you've been transported to the rugged Northwest! One tip I have for you is to look for the Fire Rock Geyser, which is pretty close to the boat launch and just between the Copper Creek Springs pool area and Bay Lake. It erupts faithfully every hour on the hour during the day and into the evening and is pretty spectacular. Hopefully you'll get a chance to experience it before you head back to Magic Kingdom Park for even more magic and fun.
If you have any other questions as you're planning your trip, please feel free to visit us again! I hope you have a truly magical vacation, Chad!
