Welcome to planDisney! As a mom of two under three years old, I definitely understand the importance of having a good stroller for the theme parks, especially one that your child is comfortable in. I know many people love
stroller rentals for the ease of not traveling with a stroller, but I know my toddler and the unfamiliarity with the stroller would add more stress to my trip than it would solve.
So, I did a little digging on stroller trikes, Valerie, and while they are technically like strollers, they may not be allowed into the theme parks. According to the
Walt Disney World Resort policy, recreational vehicles are prohibited. Since a stroller trike also falls in that category due to the pedals, it may not be allowed in either. However, the final decision on whether the stroller trike would be permitted would be entirely up to the Cast Members in security. They may permit it, or they could turn it away. When I traveled with my nephew, he had a stroller that looked like a trike but didn’t have pedals, and he was permitted to use that during our trip, so that may be an acceptable alternative. If it were me, I would err on the side of caution and bring an alternative stroller that fits within the permissible dimensions of 31 inches wide by 52 inches long just to be safe. I know that it would cause a complete meltdown for my toddler if I had to remove her from the stroller she was comfy in and put her in a rental stroller.
I wish I had a better answer, Valerie, but I hope it was helpful. Before I let you go, as a reminder, stroller wagons are not permitted into the theme parks, even if they fit the size dimensions. Don’t forget to pack a ribbon, sign, or other identifier for your stroller so you can quickly identify it in stroller parking. Please come back and see
