Greetings, Shayne, and welcome to planDisney! First of all, happy birthday! I love that you're celebrating at the Happiest Place on Earth. How fun that you share a birthday with this special place.
While there aren't currently any specific offerings for Guests who have a July 17 birthday, there are plenty of ways to make your birthday visit special. I'm happy to share some ideas that you can incorporate into your day.
- Make sure to pick up a complimentary birthday button – many retail locations and City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. have them. Whenever someone in our family wears one, we receive birthday greetings all day long, from Cast Members, Characters, and even other Guests! It feels like an extra sprinkling of pixie dust on the day.
- Get a special birthday treat. One of my favorites is the Strawberry Shortcake Macaron from Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe, because it looks really festive and comes topped with an edible decorative candle!
- There are a handful of attractions that have a birthday cake decoration somewhere in the ride, such as Alice in Wonderland, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and the Haunted Mansion. Ride these and see if you can spot the cake!
- There is a special birthday cavalcade at 1:30 p.m. on July 17. That would be a fun addition to your day!
Of course, the Resort still has a festive feel throughout as the
70th Anniversary Celebration continues. I'm so glad you'll be visiting before it comes to an end. You'll have a chance to experience the special decorations, menu items, and entertainment offerings during this visit!

Wondrous Journeys are my favorites, and I'd highly recommend fitting those in as your night comes to a close.
