DH, 2 DS (4&2) want to go to Teppan Edo. Would kids this age enjoy watching the food being prepared? Are the cooking surfaces far enough away from their seats that little curious hands couldn't reach out & touch? Do you know what oil is used in co

    Hi Tara,

We just returned from a Disney World trip and Teppan Edo was the one location that my boys made a point of requesting. They love it, and have a great time, everytime we go. Of course mine are a little older than yours now but it is still a fun environment. The chefs are so talented and fun to watch and we are never bored. The rooms typically feature two to four grill/table areas, so even when you are waiting for your chef, it seems there is always another one in the room "performing"

Guests are seated around the cooking grill, which is quite hot, however there is a decent distance between the seats and the grill itself. I would certainly suggest keeping an eye on a toddler's wandering hands, but the grill itself is not so close that they would accidentally touch it unless they were stretching and reaching for it. We have never  even had a close call.

I unfortunately do not know what type of oil is used and have not been able to find any information on this. I can tell you that the staff will be happy to discuss any dietary questions or concerns with you, and if there are any problems with the oil, vegetables or meats used, be sure to speak to the staff and they will find the best option for your dining needs.

P.S. I highly recommend the sea scallops. They are incredible!
