Hi Michael, thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.
I don't know about you, but I am thrilled Walt Disney World Resort is bringing back the
dining plans. Dining plans give you and your family the peace of mind of knowing your meals are paid for in advance. At this time, you have two options to choose from: the
Quick-Service and Disney Dining Plan. The first option gives you two quick service meals per night of your visit, as well as one snack per day. The Disney Dining Plan gives you one quick service, one table service meal, and one snack. Both options also include a refillable resort mug, which you can use throughout your visit at your Disney Resort hotel. Whenever I visit with my family, we like to opt for the Disney Dining Plan because we enjoy taking a break from the parks and crowds with a sit-down dinner, and if you have Mouseketeers in your group, this is a great way for them to meet their favorite characters without having to stand in the lines! Adding a dining plan to your existing reservation should be fairly simple, you can log into your
My Disney Experience account, go to your "My Plans" section, and add a dining plan to your already existing reservation. Since your visit is just around the corner, I suggest logging in as soon as dining plans become available (January 9th!). Keep in mind that gratuities are not included in the dining plan. Check out this
list of participating table service restaurants that accept the dining plan. Throughout Walt Disney World, if you notice a purple and white square with the letters "D" and "P" at restaurants and kiosks, they accept the dining plan too.
Have a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World Michael, it truly is The Most Magical Place on Earth!
The Magic Awaits!
Frances
