Michaux,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
Chef Mickey's is such a wonderful dining and entertainment experience, whether you are a young child or a child at heart!
If you are visiting Chef Mickey's, you are welcome to explore the grounds of
Disney's Contemporary Resort, but use of the pools at the resort is reserved for guests staying at the hotel. Because so many guests visit the wonderful restaurants of the hotel, as well as due to it being just a short 1/2 mile (3/4 km) walk from the Magic Kingdom, if they allowed anyone just visiting the hotel to use the pools, they would quickly become too crowded for hotel guests to enjoy.
BONUS TIP #1If you are looking for an adult beverage during your stay, one of my favorite little-known lounges is the
Outer Rim. It is near the entrance to Chef Mickey's, and it gives some lovely lake views.
BONUS TIP #2The two gift stores for the resort are on the same floor as Chef Mickey's, and
Bayview Gifts has some great adult clothing options. Just look for the
"BVG" sign opposite the entrance to the restaurant.
Please feel free to
write me back directly if you have any follow-up questions.
Have a Magical Vacation!
Doug
