How do you go about pin collecting? I've never done this but it seems like fun. Where do you get them and who will trade with you?

Hi, Daniel!  You will find pins just about everywhere you go at Walt Disney World.  There are kiosks that sell them, and there are also collections available in the various gift shops in the parks and resorts.  Downtown Disney has a large shop dedicated solely to pins, so you'll find a great variety there as well.

Many of the cast members have either pin lanyards or pin boards that they use for trading, and you may find other guests who are willing to trade.  You can often identify them by their pin lanyards, vests, or hats.  You just have to politely ask if they are traders, and they will let you know if they are willing to trade.

There are also pin collectors who do gatherings and pin trading events, both inside and outside the theme parks.  You can often find information about those at various online forums.

Have a great time getting into it!  It can be a lot of fun - although I usually found myself really wanting to keep the pins I had purchased, so I was not a great trader!  But I do have some pins that I really treasure!
