Can you go to a park on weekends without reservation if your a pass holder?

Welcome back to planDisney, Emmanuel! I'm so happy to see you again. It looks like you're back in the Walt Disney World Resort magic, so let's talk about theme park reservations for Annual Passholders.

My husband and I have the Disney Pixie Dust Pass, and we can't believe we waited so long to join the family. I love having the Park Hopper option built in, and I added Memory Maker when I renewed my pass a few months ago—the best decision ever! We've had a blast stopping for photos and trying to "collect" all the Magic Shots we can.

As far as theme park reservations, passholders do need them on weekdays. The exception is when specific dates become "good-to-go days." This means that reservations are not required. I've also deduced that crowds could be lighter on those days, so if you're local, my tip is to take advantage of any good-to-go days.

On the weekends, passholders do not need theme park reservations for EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios, or Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. You'll still need to make a reservation at Magic Kingdom Park on the weekends if that's the first park you plan to enter.

The other exception is the after-2:00 PM rule. Passholders do not need reservations if they enter their first theme park after 2:00 PM, except Magic Kingdom Park on the weekends when reservations are still required for passholders.

Since reservation policies can change, I recommend checking the website for the latest information. Please feel free to call the Annual Passholders line anytime you have questions about a specific situation. The Cast Members will treat you like a VIP...a Very Important Passholder!

Emmanuel, I hope you have a practically perfect visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth! Please stop by planDisney anytime.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
