Hi William! Thank you for bringing another great question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
My family and I always plan to take the latest flight possible on our departure day, so we can spend one last day soaking up all the magic of Walt Disney World Resort.
It is not a problem at all if you would like to enjoy the parks after
check-out time on your last day. Bell Services at your
Disney Resort Hotel will be happy to hold your luggage for you on your departure day. Even better, if you are flying on a
participating airline, you can take advantage of
Resort Airline Check-In service! Resort Airline Check-In works just like curbside check-in at the airport, except the curb is right at your Disney Resort Hotel! The Resort Airline Check-In desk is open from 5:00 am to 12:00 noon. Guests flying participating airlines can check their luggage through to the airport and pick up boarding passes and then head out for the day.
My family and I usually pack up our belongings early on our departure day, check our luggage at Resort Airline Check-In and drop our carry-on bags at Bell Services, and then head out for some more Walt Disney World fun. If you have a credit card on file, there is
no need to stop by the Front Desk to check out.
I know you didn't ask but I thought I would mention: just as you would tip a Skycap at the airport, a few dollars per bag would be appropriate at Resort Airline Check-In and also for the Cast Members at Bell Services.
Please stop by the Moms Panel again with any additional questions you may have as you
plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. We are always happy to help!
