We would like to go to MK which is open later after we've spent the day at AK. We have park hoppers. I believe there is a bus that will take us from one park to the other? About how long do we need to plan in commuting time between parks? Thanks!

Yes, there is a bus that will take you directly from the Animal Kingdom to the Magic Kingdom. Just check the sign at the entrance to the AK bus station and you'll see which slip you'll need to wait at.

The Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom are at far opposite ends of the WDW property. The bus ride itself will be about 20-25 minutes. You could, however, have a wait for a bus on the front end of up to about 20 minutes, depending on whether a bus has recently left the station. If you get lucky, you could also have no wait for the bus. For planning purposes, I'd leave about 45- 60 minutes to get from park to park (I like to have buffer time built in), but you could get there a bit quicker than that.
