How do I go about getting a reservation on December 09 at Cinderella royal Table? Do I need to buy a ticket to the park first? Or do I need to stay at a Walt Disney world resort for first dibs?

    Hi Lauren! Welcome to planDisney!

I'm so happy to hEAR about your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort! I had never experienced the holidays at the Resort until last year and now I can't wait to head back to The Most Magical Place on Earth and experience the magic and wonder of the season all over again.  I really enjoyed attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party! Snacking on cookies and cocoa with my friends while waving to my favorite character pals marching in Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade is a memory I will always cherish.

When you're wishing upon a star for an extra-special dinner reservation don't lose faith if you don't get your reservation the very first day! My suggestion for booking a popular Advance Dining Reservation would be to consistently check your My Disney Experience mobile app in the days leading up to your vacation.  Many Guests overbook themselves when it comes to dining and end up needing to cancel.  When they do cancel, it's your chance! These reservations will once again show on your My Disney Experience mobile app, making them available for you to book.  I've often found that many reservations open up just a day or two before my intended reservation, so you may find this to be the case as well!

While you do not need to have Theme Park Tickets purchased in order to make your in-park dining reservations, you and your party will need valid Theme Park Tickets as well as Theme Park Reservations to enter the Park that your dining location is in once that magical day arrives.  You also do not need to be a Guest of a Disney Resorts Collection hotel in order to make dining reservations BUT it does give you a perk! While all Guests are able to make dining reservations at the 60-day mark before their vacation, Guests staying at a Disney Resort are able to book for their entire length of stay (up to 10 days) at this time.  That means that as a Disney Resort Guest you'll be able to book all of your reservations at one time! Jump on the mobile app at 5:45 a.m. to make your first, and most important, dining selections!

I hope with a little faith, trust and pixie dust you're able to get every dining reservation you're searching for!

As a child I excitedly helped to plan family trips, as a young adult I planned our "happily ever after" right on Disney property, and now I'm lucky enough to plan magical vacations for my three incredible children. When we're not taking in the enchanting experiences of the parks, we're home in Massachusetts, probably planning our next trip! Learn More About Ashley
