If I go to Fantasmic at 8:30 will I make my reservation at Planet Hollywood at 10:00? You guys are great ! You have been a real life saver for a first time visitor like myself. Thanks for all your help.

Hi Erin! I'm so happy to hear you're finding the Moms Panel helpful in planning your first Disney vacation! Fantasmic is an amazing show, so you're smart to be making sure it's on your schedule. This lights and water show featuring the Disney characters runs about 25 minutes, and depending on where you sit in the theater, you may find it takes you another 30 minutes or so to leave the park after Fantasmic.

Buses don't run directly between Downtown Disney and the parks, so it may be difficult for you to arrive at Planet Hollywood on time for your reservation if you're using Disney transportation. You can take a cab from the park to Planet Hollywood, and you'd have no trouble arriving by 10:00 if you did that. However, if you want to use the Disney buses, you'll need to first take a bus to a resort near Downtown Disney, such as Port Orleans, and then take the boat to Downtown Disney. Because you may have to wait for the bus and for the boat, the trip could take 45 minutes to an hour. You'd have a better chance of making it to Planet Hollywood on time if you sit in the back of the Fantasmic theater, near an exit, so you can leave quickly when the show ends and be one of the first in line for the buses.

Have a magical first Disney vacation! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We're happy to help!
