Hello! We would like to go on a cruise this spring, but my son has a developmental disability. He is going to be 3 and still needs to sleep in a crib, but is too big for a pack and play. Any suggestions? Are there bed rails for the bottom bunk? Thanks!

    Hi Ginger!
Welcome the Moms Panel!  Spring time is a fantastic time to set sail for a wondrous voyage aboard Disney Cruise Line!  I think you will find it to be the perfect vacation for your family because Disney offers something for Guests of all ages on all their ships and itineraries.
I know you will find the stateroom accommodations to be very spacious with wonderful conveniences such as the split bath set-up!  As far as a safe sleeping spot for your little one, bed rails can be requested for the lower bunk.  The upper pull-berth includes the built-in rail, but it you think it is too high, your stateroom host/hostess will be happy to set-up the railing on the lower bed during turn-down service each evening.  We have used the railings on all of our cruises, and they have kept my kids safe and cozy during the night.
When you make your cruise reservation, just note your bed railing request on your reservation.  Also, be sure to check out the Guests with Disabilities page on the Disney Cruise Line website to familiarize yourself with the services and amenities offered onboard for your son.
I'm glad you stopped by with your question, Ginger.  Planning a cruise with your favorite mouse is an exciting time so I hope you will visit again if you need further assistance.
Have a magical day and happy planning!
